Our town has a recreation committee consisting of up to seven residents of the town. The Recreation Committee is appointed annually. Their purpose is to oversee the recreational programs and budget.The group meets on an the fourth Thursday of the month. Scheduled meetings are posted on the town calendar, found on the home page.
Unfortunately, we do not offer programs on an ongoing basis. We have volunteers that run a soccer recreation program in the fall for Pre K- 6th grade and a basketball program in the winter for PreK - 6th grade. The China Rec web site can be found here. The youth baseball and softball (for ages 5 through 12) falls under the China Youth League. The president is Mike Sullivan. Youth football is run independently from the town and is for K - high school.
Please remember all programs are run independently of the town.

We do not have public beach facilities in China. There is a boat launch at the northern and southern end of China lake as well as one in the town of Vassalboro.
There is also a boat launch for Three Mile Pond, off Route 3 in Vassalboro.
