Libraries

China has two public libraries for use by the local residents.  Each one is stocked with books, magazines, newspapers and even free internet access. 

The Albert Church Brown Memorial Library on Main Street in China Village.  Phone 968-2926

South China Public Library on Village Street in the Village of South China.  Phone 445-3094

The Albert Church Brown Memorial Library is located at 37 Main Street in historic China Village. All area residents are welcome to use the library at no charge. In addition to books, periodicals, and DVDs, patrons have access to free Wifi (roadside and indoors), computer, and copier. The library also hosts events on a regular basis. Library hours are from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays.  

The South China Public Library is located at 247 Village Street in China, across from the South China Community Church.  All services are free, and it is run by a staff of volunteers.  Services available are:  audio books, summer story time for children on Wednesday mornings and free internet access.  Library hours are on Wednesdays from 10am-noon and 3pm-7pm, and Saturdays from 10am until 2pm.  You can reach the library at 445-3094.
