Part-Time Public Works Employee

The Town of China is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our Public Works Department in a part-time, on-call capacity. This position plays an important role in maintaining safe and accessible town roads, especially during the winter season.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate a town plow truck on an assigned route during winter storms

• Perform pre-storm preparation and post-storm cleanup and maintenance

• Conduct general public works tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience operating plow trucks or similar heavy equipment preferred

• Valid CDL driver’s license required

• Ability to work independently and respond to call-outs during storm events

• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Schedule & Pay:

• Part-time, hours vary based on weather and department needs

• Competitive pay based on experience
